Thousands of universities in Argentina can offer you formal education to obtain an Argentine Student Permit (temporary residency with DNI). After living in the country for two years under this category with a DNI, you’ll become eligible to apply for citizenship. The processing time for citizenship typically takes approximately one year. So, if you enroll in a bachelor’s degree, by the time you graduate from university, you could already have obtained an Argentine passport.

An Argentine Student Permit can only be obtained if the duration of the academic study is at least 2 years or more, with a mandatory requirement for a school certificate (the so-called carera). This can be an Academic Diploma (Carrera), a Bachelor’s Degree, a Master’s Degree, or a PhD. If your child is a Secondary School student, you also may have the opportunity to apply for Temporary Residence as a Dependent Applicant (as a parent) for your child if they enroll in one of the designated secondary schools from the list. The majority of academic studies are held in the Spanish language, except bilingual schools, such as ASOCIACION ESCUELAS LINCOLN ENTIDAD EDUC.FORMAL Y PERS.JUR, that might be held in the English/Spanish languages. Public Universities are supported by the Government, so if you know the Spanish language.

University of Belgrano offers a Bachelor’s Degree in Licenciatura en
Lengua Inglesa. Before registering, you must contact the Faculty of Languages and Foreign Studies. Please note that the Bachelor’s Degree in English will begin in March. The program is offered as a hybrid program and requires a tertiary or university English teaching or translation degree, which is no less than four years of studies. It is offered online, synchronously, on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with two mandatory in-person sessions per year, held at the Zabala 1837 campus. For each year of study, a registration fee and 12 monthly installments are paid (from March to February of the following year).
Tuition from the 2nd year onwards is paid in two installments along with the first installment of each four-month period (March and September).

At the University of Palermo, classes are taught in Spanish, and according to academic regulations, students whose native language is not Spanish must take a Spanish level test upon admission, with details available at this link.
