Apostille services for U.S. documents cost $350 for personal records (birth, marriage, and FBI reports) and $400 for company documents. You can apostille either the original or a photocopy. Processing takes 5-6 business days for photocopies and 3-4 weeks for originals, excluding mailing time (ACC-000066).

  • The digital FBI report
  • Scan a copy of the client’s passport

Example #2:

For a Chinese birth certificate, the standard procedure typically involves first having the certificate notarized (accompanied by an English translation), followed by apostille certification from the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The service fee for this process ranges between 2200 RMB and 2700 RMB. Should a translation into a language other than English be required, an additional charge of approximately 200 RMB to 300 RMB per page will apply, depending on the volume of text needing translation. The international mailing fee is not included. Documents required include:

         Scan Copy of Birth Certificate

The applicant’s Chinese ID card or foreign passport with a visa or long-term residence permit in China. Chinese citizens also need to provide a household registration book.

          Applicant’s parents’ marriage certificate

The parents’ Chinese ID card or foreign passport with visa or long-term residence permit in China. Chinese citizens also need to provide a household registration book.

For Chinese police background checks, the applicant does not need to deliver fingerprints for China PCC.

Important Note: When you apostille documents such as a lease contract or a power of attorney, please make sure that your signature is notarized also. Some countries are new to the apostille process and may not fully understand how to issue it correctly. In some cases, they might simply notarize the document without properly verifying the signature, which can lead to serious consequences.

FAQ

Do you require the original ink fingerprint cards (FD-258 haWe copies only), or is a scanned/PDF copy also acceptable for processing?

The original physical cards will need to be mailed to us. We cannot use scanned copies of the fingerprints.

If digital PDF or scanned copies are not acceptable, then authentication requirement-related question:

Do these fingerprint cards require any notarization, legalization, or government authentication in Argentina (Buenos Aires) before we ship them to you by USPS/FedEx/DHL?

No. The cards just have to have the information filled in on the top of the card along with the signature of the individual who took the prints who should be an authorized fingerprint technician.

Acceptance for shipment:

Are we allowed to directly send these fingerprint cards to you via USPS/FedEx from Argentina without any specific requirements in an ordinary way, or do we need to declare a special envelope?

We do not require any special envelope or process to mail the fingerprints.

We would also appreciate clarification on the process after FBI submission:

  1. Digital version and apostille usability:
In your experience, is a digital FBI record outcome (completingersion) considered valid for further apostille processing by apostille companies, or is a physical hard copy (papers) sealed envelope required? In other words, once the FBI response is completed, is it strictly hard copy (papers) shipped to the applicant’s U.S. residential address, or can it also be delivered digitally by email?

This would be a question for the agency that will be completeing the apostille as we are not familiar with what is required by those agencies.

2. If you say only hard copy (paper version only accepted for further apostille), then delivery of results picked up by a third party related question comes out because Jonathan is in Argentina physically:

Chanelling company can only mail the results to the applicants US residential address. The envelope will be addressed to the applicant only. Or once the FBI records are issued by the government (as a result of your channeling procedure outcome), they can be sent for apostille in two ways:

1. Preferred option – PDF by email:
They accept digital FBI records in PDF format for apostille processing.

2.Hard copy option – Paper version:
Thomas authorized us to use his address for the apostille process. Once the FBI records are ready, you may provide his address (during data filling) so the government can send the paper version of the FBI records directly to Thomas.

After the apostille is completed, Apostille notary will download the Apostille results and ship (DHL/FedEx) the documents to applicant in Buenos Aires.
