Argentina Digital Nomad Visa

Argentina offers a specialized pathway for digital nomads through the Argentina digital nomad visa, enabling remote workers, freelancers, and location-independent professionals to obtain “residentes transitorios” in Argentina while working remotely for foreign employers or international clients. This digital nomad residence permit, regulated under Law No. 25,871 (Art. 24, paragraph h), Decree No. 616/2010, and DNM Provision No. 758/2022, allows eligible applicants to legally live in Argentina under a remote work visa framework, with a renewable temporary residence (residentes transitorios) period of up to 180 days, making Argentina an attractive destination for digital nomads, remote workers, and expats.

Who Can Apply?

This program is only available to foreign nationals from visa-exempt countries who provide remote services using computers or telecommunications for clients or companies located abroad. Passport holders from visa-required countries cannot apply, as there are no applicable agreements between their governments and Argentina for this program.

Key Features of the Digital Nomad Visa

  • Duration: Argentina grants Digital Nomad “residentes transitorios” status for 180 days, with the option to extend it only once for an additional 180 days.
  • Eligibility: Only for individuals from countries that do not require a tourist visa to enter Argentina.
