Vietnam e-Visa, Immigration & Relocation Services | Immi Legal

Professional Assistance for Foreigners Traveling, Staying & Relocating to Vietnam

Planning to visit Vietnam for tourism, business, family visits, an extended stay, or relocating long-term? Immi Legal provides end-to-end Vietnam visa assistance, immigration consultation, and practical relocation support for foreign nationals through licensed local providers.

We help you prepare and submit your Vietnam e-Visa application correctly through official channels, coordinate essential services before and after arrival, including airport pickup, hotel and apartment searches, property assistance, local transportation, tours, and other on-the-ground support. Our goal is to make your entry, stay, and life in Vietnam smoother, more organized, and fully compliant with Vietnamese immigration rules.

Vietnam’s e-Visa is issued exclusively by the Vietnam Immigration Department (Ministry of Public Security) through the official electronic system. It may be granted for a maximum of 90 days, on a single or multiple entry basis, subject to the decision of the competent authorities. Official processing is typically completed within 3 working days after fee payment. Fees are USD 25 (single-entry) or USD 50 (multiple-entry) and are non-refundable, even in case of rejection.

Immi Legal does not issue visas, guarantee approval, or claim to be the Immigration Department. We provide professional administrative preparation, document review, submission support, and post-arrival coordination through appropriate official channels and licensed local providers.

Mandatory Electronic Arrival Card (Pre-Arrival Information / PAI)

Important update for 2026: Foreign nationals arriving in Vietnam by air must complete the free electronic Pre-Arrival Information (PAI) declaration (also called the digital arrival card) before landing.

Official portal: https://prearrival.immigration.gov.vn/

The system has been rolled out progressively since April 2026 and currently covers major international airports, including:

  • SGN – Tan Son Nhat International Airport (Ho Chi Minh City)
  • CXR – Cam Ranh International Airport (gateway to Nha Trang)
  • PQC – Phu Quoc International Airport
  • HAN – Noi Bai International Airport (Hanoi)
  • DAD – Da Nang International Airport

You can complete the form no earlier than 3 days (72 hours) before your scheduled arrival. After submission, the system generates a QR code. Save it on your phone or print it and present it at passport control together with your passport and (if applicable) e-Visa. This declaration is free of charge, separate from any visa requirement, and does not replace an e-Visa or visa exemption.

For visa-exempt travelers (commonly 30 or 45 days, depending on nationality), select the appropriate visa-exemption option (often shown as “Default visa exemption by country”) when completing the form.

Completing the PAI in advance helps reduce queues and speeds up immigration formalities. Failure to complete it may result in additional processing time on arrival. Always use only the official government website ending in .gov.vn.

Vietnam e-Visa Application Assistance

Vietnam’s electronic visa system allows eligible foreigners outside Vietnam to apply online. Applications require accurate passport details, personal information, a recent portrait photograph (straight face, no hat or glasses, white/light background, formal attire with shoulders covered, passport-style, jpg/jpeg under 2 MB), and a clear full passport data-page image.

Key practical points:

  • You cannot apply for or obtain a new e-Visa while physically inside Vietnam. If you are already in the country and need a new e-Visa, you must exit Vietnam before submitting the application.
  • If you are outside Vietnam, the application can be prepared for any future entry date within the applicable rules.
  • Required information typically includes: full passport scan (clear, complete data page), portrait photo meeting the specifications above, intended address in Vietnam (if known), home address, occupation/position, employer name and address (where requested), email address, and intended entry date.
  • For urgent cases involving a recent exit, a clear photo of the passport page showing the exit stamp (passport number and stamp visible) is usually required.

Our e-Visa assistance includes:

  • Preliminary eligibility and travel-plan assessment
  • Passport validity and information review
  • Preparation of the required personal and passport data
  • Portrait photograph and passport-page checking
  • Entry-date and entry-point selection guidance
  • Application form review for consistency and accuracy
  • Support in submission through the official portal
  • Status monitoring and result retrieval
  • Review of the approved e-Visa
  • Guidance on using the e-Visa for entry
  • Identification and correction of common administrative errors before submission

Once the application is accepted and paid, you will normally receive confirmation emails (one acknowledging the application and one confirming payment). When the e-Visa is ready, you can retrieve and download it yourself at the official search page:

https://evisa.gov.vn/e-visa/search

Enter your e-Visa application/registration number (provided in the confirmation), the email used for the application, date of birth, and the captcha. We can also retrieve and forward the approved e-Visa to you for convenience.

Single-entry vs Multiple-entry e-Visa

  • Single-entry: Suitable for one-time visits during the validity period.
  • Multiple-entry: Suitable if you plan to leave and re-enter Vietnam within the authorized period.

Final visa type, validity, and entry authorization are determined solely by Vietnamese authorities.

Vietnam Immigration Consultation

Not every situation fits a standard tourist e-Visa. If you have previously overstayed, been refused a visa, need to stay longer, plan business or employment activities, require sponsorship/invitation procedures, or are considering relocation, we recommend a personalized assessment before booking flights.

We discuss entry requirements and visa options, long-stay and multiple-entry planning, business travel, temporary residence registration, visa validity, exit and re-entry planning, previous immigration issues, and relocation pathways. Where Vietnamese law requires advice or representation by a locally licensed lawyer or regulated professional, we coordinate or refer you to an appropriately qualified Vietnamese specialist.

Airport Pickup, Meet & Greet & Arrival Assistance

Arriving in Vietnam for the first time? We coordinate airport transfers and meet-and-greet services through reliable local providers at major airports (including SGN, CXR/Nha Trang, PQC, HAN, and DAD).

Airport transfer options may include: private car or family/group transportation, hotel or apartment transfer, late-night arrival coordination, and return airport transportation. Simply provide your flight number, arrival date/time, airport, and destination, and we’ll be there for you.

Meet-and-greet services (subject to airport availability) can include arrival-area assistance, driver coordination, family support, and fast-track or priority assistance where legally and commercially available. These services do not alter immigration or customs requirements. Admission remains the exclusive decision of Vietnamese immigration officers. Remember to have your Pre-Arrival Information QR code ready.

Hotel, Apartment & Real Estate Search Assistance

Hotel & short-term accommodation — We help identify suitable options based on budget, location, length of stay, number of travelers, family or business needs, proximity to the airport or city center, beach access, and preferred neighborhood.

Apartment search (short- or long-term) — Ideal for stays of several weeks or months. Assistance covers studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and family apartments in preferred areas. All rental agreements are concluded directly between you and the property owner or authorized agent.

Real estate & property search — For longer stays or property exploration, we assist with listings, location comparisons, neighborhood research, and viewing coordination. Vietnamese real-estate transactions are regulated. We distinguish property-search assistance from licensed brokerage or legal services and refer you to qualified Vietnamese professionals when required.

Tours, Local Guides, Transportation & Motorbike Rental Assistance

We coordinate private city tours, cultural and food tours, beach/island excursions, day trips, and customized sightseeing through appropriate Vietnamese tourism providers. Transportation options include airport transfers, private cars, hotel/apartment transfers, and intercity travel. Motorbike rental assistance is available through reputable local providers. You remain fully responsible for meeting all Vietnamese licensing, insurance, and safety requirements.

Relocation Assistance & Complete Vietnam Arrival Package

Moving to Vietnam for more than a short holiday? Our relocation support acts as a single point of contact coordinating e-Visa and immigration services, airport pickup and meet-and-greet, hotel or apartment search, property searches, local transportation, temporary residence guidance, tours, and professional referrals.

Customizable Arrival & Relocation Package typically covers immigration consultation and e-Visa assistance, document review, entry planning (including PAI guidance), hotel/apartment search before arrival; airport pickup, meet-and-greet, and transfer on arrival; and ongoing apartment/property searches, local transport, tour coordination, temporary residence guidance, and professional referrals during your stay. Packages are tailored to your nationality, destination, length of stay, and needs.

Business Travel to Vietnam

Traveling for meetings, negotiations, conferences, or commercial activities? We assess whether a standard tourist e-Visa is appropriate or whether a different visa route is required, coordinate documentation, entry planning (including the mandatory Pre-Arrival Information), airport transfers, hotel arrangements, and local professional referrals when needed.

Exit & Re-Entry Planning

If you need to leave Vietnam and return later, careful planning of your immigration status is essential. We assist with exit planning, new e-Visa applications (which require you to be outside Vietnam), re-entry documentation, travel arrangements, and related consultations. We highly recommend against overstaying or attempting to circumvent Vietnamese immigration controls.

Business Travel, Investment & Company Setup Support

Vietnam is a member of the WTO and party to multiple free-trade agreements. The Vietnamese government generally welcomes foreign investors across most sectors. However, certain service sectors (trading, logistics, banking, finance, and similar activities) may be subject to limitations such as minimum capital requirements, joint-venture obligations with local partners, or the need to obtain specific licenses after company establishment.

Manufacturing and production activities are typically open and actively encouraged, especially when investors bring modern technology. Projects using outdated technology are generally not favored. Location and scale matter: industrial parks, industrial clusters, and export-processing zones across the North, Center, and South of Vietnam offer different advantages. We can help coordinate introductions to landlords, factory leasing options, and local suppliers.

Before confirming assistance for any client, local legal partners normally review: the investor’s identity and country of origin, the intended business sector, and any applicable restrictions. After company setup, ongoing legal, accounting, and tax-declaration support is available through trusted local partners.

Language & cultural support

Many foreign investors (particularly from China and Russia) face communication barriers. Local law firms experienced with Chinese- and Russian-speaking clients can significantly reduce friction. Support is also available for investors from Singapore, Japan, the United States, Europe, Turkey, and other regions.

Export-oriented opportunities (useful context for business relocators)

Vietnam has strong competitive advantages in several agricultural and processed products frequently sought by foreign buyers:

  • Coffee—predominantly Robusta throughout the country. Both green beans and processed products are exported (Arabica production is limited). Đắk Lắk province is known as Vietnam’s coffee capital. Its main city, Buôn Ma Thuột, is the heart of the country’s coffee industry.
  • Cashew nuts – a major Vietnamese export with good international demand.
  • Fruits – dragon fruit, mango, lychee, and especially durian (high demand in China, including livestream sales channels).

Rice exports are more tightly controlled by government policy and usually require licensed exporters. For investors interested in trading or processing these products, local legal and commercial partners can advise on licensing, location, and partnership structures.

How Immi Legal helps business travelers and relocators: We assess whether a standard tourist e-Visa is appropriate or whether a different visa route is required, coordinate documentation and entry planning (including the mandatory Pre-Arrival Information), arrange airport transfers and initial accommodation, and introduce you to licensed Vietnamese law firms and service providers for company formation, investment licensing, accounting, and tax matters.
