In Buenos Aires, Argentina’s vibrant capital, travelers spend three days discovering elegant boulevards, historic neighborhoods like San Telmo and La Boca, and iconic landmarks such as Recoleta Cemetery. Evenings come alive with the passion of tango, where a live performance paired with Argentine cuisine offers a perfect introduction to the country’s culture and spirit.
Spanning the border of Argentina and Brazil, Iguazú Falls is a breathtaking natural spectacle with more than 270 cascades surrounded by lush rainforest. Over two days, visitors explore the Argentinian side’s walkways that lead close to the thundering Devil’s Throat and admire sweeping panoramas from the Brazilian side, while spotting toucans, coatis, and other wildlife along the way.
In northwest Argentina, the provinces of Salta and Jujuy showcase dramatic landscapes and rich traditions. Highlights include the Hill of Seven Colors in Purmamarca, the vast Salinas Grandes salt flats, and the Hornocal mountains with their striking rainbow hues. Visitors also explore colonial towns, Andean markets, and Cafayate’s vineyards, making this five-day journey a vibrant mix of culture, history, and natural beauty.
Morning starts from Downtown:
Start at Plaza de Mayo, the heart of Argentina’s political and historical life. Here you’ll see the Casa Rosada (Presidential Palace), the Metropolitan Cathedral, and learn about the country’s history that shaped modern Argentina.
Continue your walk along Avenida de Mayo, lined with historic cafés and grand architecture, before reaching Avenida 9 de Julio, the widest avenue in the world.
Continue walking 4-5 blocks toward to Plaza del Congreso, one of the most beautiful squares in Argentina, surrounded by monumental buildings, with the Argentine National Congress as its centerpiece.
Take a break for lunch and indulge in a true Argentine parrillada (asado) at Don Julio, one of the city’s most elite and celebrated restaurants, where the grilled meats are considered among the best in the world.
Afternoon Palermo Neighborhood:
After savoring the most delicious steak experience in Buenos Aires, stroll into the quiet neighborhood of Palermo Chico, a charming area filled with luxurious mansions and leafy streets. Pass through the Eco Park, a pleasant green space with history and wildlife.
Continue to Parque Tres de Febrero (Bosques de Palermo), famous for its beautiful Rose Garden (Rosedal), lakes, and shaded paths. End your day in style at one of Palermo’s artisanal ice cream shops, enjoying Argentina’s world-class gelato as you relax in the city’s most elegant park setting. Alternatively, you can stop at a cozy Starbucks café nearby for a coffee break or unwind in one of the stylish bars around the park, perfect for closing your first day in Buenos Aires with a relaxed evening atmosphere.
