As in other countries, in Brazil, there is the Golden Visa. This is an easy and quick way to obtain your residence permit and get your Brazilian passport after 5 years. According to Brazilian legislation, the applicant has to buy real estate (housing) worth at least BRL 1,000,000 (One million Reais, More or less about USD180,000 – One hundred and eighty thousand US Dollars).

Eligibility Requirements:

Real Estate Investor Visa involves the purchase of property worth 1 million BRL (or 700,000 BRL in the North and Northeast regions). It is possible to buy more than one property in the same region, as long as the total value reaches the required amount. After 4 years, it is possible to apply for a permanent visa.
